CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILY MINISTRY
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
During the academic year, Sunday School for elementary aged children is from 10:15 am - 11:15 am. This is an opportunity for young children to hear more about God's love. The weekly lesson follows the Gospel text they hear from Sunday service.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation ministry is for youth in grades 6-8, and is an opportunity for them to explore what it means to live as a child of God, as well as to affirm the promises made at their baptism. Classes meet weekly during the academic year from 10:15 am - 11:15 am. This years rotation is about the New Testament.
HIGH SCHOOL
The high school youth meet the first Sunday of each month. They have decided to learn about different religions of the world.
YOUTH GROUP
Youth Group meets the first Sunday of the month at 11:15 am. We will be alternating between a movie study of "The Prince of Egypt" and activities outside of the church.
WORSHIP
Children of all ages are invited and welcomed to participate and serve in worship. Every Sunday, we have a Children's Sermon, where children are invited to come forward and hear a special message from the Pastor.
Throughout the year, we celebrate our young people in worship by having a youth led service and Christmas pageant.
MISSION TRIP
6 youth and 2 adults will be going to Austin, TX for a Week of Hope Community Service. Because of its growing community, the cost of living has greatly increased, leading to a large homeless and low-income population. Week of Hope participants will have an immense impact in the Austin area through serving with adult programs, homeless and veterans ministries, food banks, kids’ programs, and more. This will be the first mission trip for the youth, and the hope is they will they grow in their faith, and will also build relationships and make connections to foster a greater sense of community in our world.
