King of Glory was established in 1957 when Arvada was a small farming community of 2,700 people. We are firmly committed to God's mission to our community. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our core values that guide our life together are:

Meaningful Worship

Worship is  a way of life which informs and creates meaning for our day to day journeys as children of God. As a community we are inspired, fed, and nourished through music, the Word and Meal, filled with God’s love, and sent out to share God’s love with the world. 

 

Abundant Service

Daily, we make a personal and communal commitment to faithfully follow in the footsteps of Jesus, abundantly loving all and serving all. Using our gifts and resources, we care for our community and the world by living as vessels of God’s healing and hope. We see each moment as an opportunity to shine God’s light in the world.  

 

Purposeful Community

God created us to exist in community with one another and God. We yearn to form relationships that go beyond the surface level to deeply connect and create space to be just as we are to support, encourage, and walk with one another through life as the living body of Christ. We seek to form relationships with our greater community to serve as a place of grace.
