King of Glory was established in 1957 when Arvada was a small farming community of 2,700 people. The congregation grew quickly along with the growing suburb. Over the years there have been many highs and some lows.
In 2021, a Transition Team was formed to fill a pastoral vacancy. As part of their work, they summarized KOG’s history and worked with the congregation to determine what lessons could be learned from their past. They also worked with the congregation to update values statements, articulate what the congregation aspires to become, and identify the qualities they seek in their next pastor.
