The Good News Continues! Following the Congregational Vote on September 12 to call Pastor Todd Payne, we have been working out the details of his move from California.
We are happy to report that Pastor Todd's first day in the office will likely be November 1, 2010. This works with Pastor Carol's plan that her last day will be October 31. Pastor Todd felt very strongly that he needed to be here as soon as possible with Advent and the Holidays coming. As a consequence, Stacey, his wife and the rest of the family will be remaining in California until their home sells there. We pray that the sale goes quickly so they can be reunited. We, for our part, are advancing leave to Pastor Todd to bridge the gap from his last day at his old congregation to us so we have no pastoral gap.
